I’ve been slack! Why have I been slack you might ask? Well, I haven’t been doing my due diligence by posting to my blog on a regular basis. So, in my eyes that’s slack, lol.

I know, I know, not the end of the world, but I feel I should do better. Now it’s not that we haven’t been on adventures, because we’ve been on a lot of them. In fact, I have plenty of adventures from this past year I could still write about and will. Not trying to make excuses (excuse coming), I’ve just been a bit distracted.

Late last fall, I purchased new camera equipment. Shortly after that, I started working with some new photo editing software. Learning the ends and outs of my new Sony camera, and Tamron lenses, has been both exciting and a little challenging. On the other hand, the Darktable software has been a different story. It’s open-source software, similar to Lightroom, but with a steeper learning curve. Having never used Lightroom, it’s taken me time to grow accustomed to its many different aspects.

Through many hours of tutorial videos, and daily practice, I feel I’m really starting to grasp all of what it has to offer. That being said, I’m always up for learning new techniques and broadening my horizons.

Although I haven’t started adding photos edited in Darktable to my site yet, I have been sharing them on my social media. Head on over to my Instagram and Facebook pages where you’ll find my latest photo drops. While you’re there, a like, follow, or comment would be much appreciated.

So yes, I’ve been slack, but I promise to do better. And I’ll soon have photos from Darktable on my site. As always, these soon to be uploaded photos, and any photo on my site are available for purchase. Check out my Photo Collections for more details. Thanks so much for spending a few minutes of your day with me and I hope the rest of yours is fantastic.
